WIP Novel Planning Workbook – Coloring Book Edition
Writing is hard, but the WIP Novel Planner is here to help! Not only does the planner provide a convenient, aesthetic place to put all of your story planning materials, it also walks you through the process of
- fleshing out your story idea
- creating strong, memorable characters
- building a vivid world
- plotting a book your readers can’t put down.
Hi, I’m Cee! I’m a fiction editor and fantasy author, owner of AuthorShip Publishing & Editorial Services. I made the WIP Novel Planner to help my clients and writing buddies. My goal? To give you everything you need to write the book of your dreams. The result? An accumulation of my best tips and tricks for crafting an outstanding story.
In this digital workbook, you’ll get 100+ pages of content including:
- writing trackers
- blank calendar pages
- story goals
- story genesis / brainstorming
- (with guided prompts!)
- in-depth character worksheets
- character (and relationship) arc sheets
- worldbuilding guides
- setting-building sheets
- story structure guides (with diagrams!)
- scene cards
- extra in-theme notepaper
- and more!
Each worksheet contains an introduction and instructions written by me (an editor!). You’ll have me in your corner, cheering you on and giving you tips and hints the whole way through.
And, as a digital coloring book, you can doodle and fill in the margins while you work. Though some patterns repeat, I did my best to make each page as unique as possible!

This version of the WIP Novel Planner is meant for digital use. Though it can be printed, it’s not optimized for paper. The main difference between this planner and a ‘printable’ planner is the navigation menu and the hyperlinked navigation buttons on each page. If those aren’t an eyesore for you, this workbook can certainly be printed; it’s formatted in 8.5×11″ or US letter size. For an A4 workbook (or for a US letter sized workbook that has those navigation buttons removed), check out the “Printable” section of my shop.
